If you've ever said "just send me the spreadsheet," this section is about you.

Most operational dysfunction never shows up on the P&L. It hides in hours, mistakes, and decisions that quietly didn't get made. Below is what it actually looks like — and what it actually costs.

Scenario 01
It's Friday at 4pm. Your COO is the only one who can approve the contract. She's on vacation in Mexico.

The deal sits in her inbox. The client emails twice asking for status. By Monday morning, they've signed with your competitor. Nobody designed this bottleneck — it just grew there.

Estimated cost
$25–80K
Per lost deal
Scenario 02
Your supervisor spends 6 hours every week doing date math in a treatment-plan spreadsheet.

She's brilliant. She makes $90K. She's spending a quarter of her week on something a system should calculate automatically. Multiply across three supervisors. The number gets ugly fast.

Estimated cost
$22K+/yr
Per supervisor
Scenario 03
The state auditor walks in. You have seven days to produce documentation.

Records are scattered across Google Drive, Dropbox, email, and a binder in the back office. Your team works nights and weekends pulling it together. One missing signature triggers a citation. You pass. Barely.

Estimated cost
$15–50K
Plus citation risk
Scenario 04
Your three best people quietly start updating their LinkedIn because "nobody knows what anyone's doing."

They didn't quit because of pay. They quit because the chaos became exhausting — endless status meetings, lost context, rework. Operational dysfunction is one of the top reasons high performers leave. Nobody puts it on the exit interview.

Estimated cost
~1.5× salary
Per high-performer lost
The number nobody puts on the P&L
Most operational dysfunction costs a business 5–15% of annual revenue.

It hides in hours, missed deadlines, lost deals, and people who leave for "better culture." A $5M business is losing $250K–$750K a year to chaos it can't see. The first step isn't more software. It's seeing where the money is actually going.

Six capabilities. One operating thesis.

Make the work visible. Automate the repetitive. Connect what's disconnected. Use AI only where it earns its keep.

— Practice 01

Workflow Automation

Approval chains, onboarding, intake processing, task routing, operational triggers. The plumbing that turns manual coordination into a system that runs without your senior people babysitting it.

Operational Dashboards

Reporting, KPIs, and live visibility built on your real data. We replace the recurring "where do we stand" meeting with a dashboard that answers it before anyone has to ask.

AI-Assisted Systems

Practical AI inside operations — document parsing, intake summaries, classification, structured extraction. AI as a worker doing specific recurring work, not a chatbot demo on the homepage.

Data Pipelines & Integrations

Connecting the systems your business already runs on. Migrations, syncs, API integrations, and the operational data infrastructure that lets your tools finally talk to each other — instead of forcing your team to be the integration layer.

i

Built across regulated, real-world operations

Behavioral health, wellness platforms, healthcare admin, field operations, workforce systems. We don't theorize about operations — we've shipped inside complex regulated environments.

ii

Two live SaaS platforms — and a practice

ClinicWarden and ShiftWarden are the work we can show publicly. The body of consulting and build engagements behind them is broader than what fits on a page.

iii

One person responsible

No account managers. No handoffs to junior devs. The person you talk to is the person mapping your workflows and writing the code.

iv

Practical AI, not AI theatre

We use AI where it measurably saves time or money — document parsing, intake summaries, classification. Not as a sticker on the homepage.

The body of work

What you see — and what you don't.

ClinicWarden and ShiftWarden are the public face of how we think. Behind them is a broader practice — operational systems, internal platforms, and AI integrations built across healthcare, wellness, workforce, and compliance-driven industries.

By convention, we don't publicly name client engagements. Most of our consulting work lives under NDA. References available on request once we're in conversation.

Ongoing

A short diagnostic to see what we'd map first.

A handful of questions about your operation. We use them to tailor your profile, scope a starting point, and come prepared to our first conversation.

Step 01 · Pain points 1 / 7

Where does it hurt the most right now?

Pick everything that applies. We'll use this to tailor your profile.

How big is your operation?

This shapes the kind of system we'd recommend.

What's the cost of not fixing it?

Be honest. This calibrates how urgent the engagement is.

What's your timeline to start?

This tells us how to scope and prioritize the conversation.

What's your budget range?

For orientation only — every engagement is scoped from the audit and quoted in writing.

Who decides on this?

No wrong answer — it just helps us know who else to involve.

Where do we send your profile?

All fields required. Your tailored diagnosis appears here, and we'll follow up personally within one business day.

Workflow Audit focused on approval and reporting flows.

A written proposal — scoped to your operational profile and starting point — will follow our first conversation.

What clients usually want to know.

What does engagement actually cost? +
Every engagement is scoped to the specific business, so pricing is proposal-based rather than menu-based. As reasonable orientation: a Workflow Audit is typically $3,500–$7,500 depending on operational complexity. Implementation engagements generally fall between $15,000 and $75,000+, scoped from audit findings. Ongoing operations partnerships start at $1,500/month and scale with the work. Every engagement begins with a clear written proposal and fixed scope.
How is pricing determined? +
We don't price by hour or seat. We price by scope, complexity, and the operational risk being addressed. The Workflow Audit is a fixed-fee deliverable. Implementations are quoted as a fixed scope with optional add-ons. Retainers are sized to the operational surface area — how many systems, how regulated, how much change. You'll never see a surprise invoice or change-order from us.
Why don't you publicly list your client work? +
Most of our consulting and build engagements live under NDA — clients hire us precisely because we operate quietly inside their business. We surface what we can show (ClinicWarden, ShiftWarden) and provide references on request once we're in serious conversation. That's the convention in this kind of work.
Do we have to commit to a long engagement? +
No. The Workflow Audit is a standalone deliverable. Most clients use it to make better internal decisions and pick where to invest. Some move into implementation. Some go work on the recommendations themselves. Either is fine.
What if we already have software in place? +
That's typical, and often the actual problem isn't missing software — it's gaps between the software you have. We focus on the operational layer: workflow automation, internal tooling, dashboards, integrations, and AI inserted where it earns its keep.
Do you work with regulated industries? +
Yes — behavioral health (Medicaid, CFTSS, 42 CFR Part 2), wellness platforms, healthcare admin, field operations with audit-defensible record requirements. We architect for regulated environments by default. PHI-light, BAA-ready, audit-friendly.
How fast can we get started? +
From audit kickoff, you'll have findings inside 2 weeks. Implementation engagements typically start 1–2 weeks after the audit closes, depending on capacity. We intentionally take a small number of engagements at a time so things ship.

For local businesses.

Augustin Works is built for software, AI, and operational systems at the growing-business level. But we also take on a small number of local engagements — restaurants, services, shops — where good technology can make a real difference for someone's actual livelihood.

A parallel offering

When the work matters, the scope matters less.

Local engagements are scoped differently. Smaller deliverables, faster turnaround, and a price point that respects what a local business can actually invest. Same operator, same standards, different shape.
